— Subraminion Customer

THE ONE THING TO KNOW

Subraminion.

/su·bra·MIN·ee·un/ · noun

Subraminion means: anyone who finds their cup.

You don't need to make the coffee the traditional way. Dhruv — who grew up with this coffee — drinks his cold, with oat milk. There is no wrong version.

Try the coffee. Find your version. That's it. You're a Subraminion & part of the community!

Come curious. Try our coffee. Leave a Subraminion.

Dhruv's version

"I grew up on this coffee. I make mine cold with oat milk. My mom would have thoughts about that."

The tradition is real — centuries of South Indian households starting their mornings with this exact blend & drinking it during tiffin time. Dhruv honors that by sharing it. What he does with it in his own cup? That's his.

YOURS TO MAKE IT

How Do You Take Yours?

THE CLASSIC

Hot decoction + whole milk, poured dabara to tumbler.

The ritual. The way it's always been done.

OUR STORY

Bringing Subra to your dabara

Dhruv grew up sneaking sips of filter coffee when his parents weren't looking. Melissa knew a great story when she saw one. Together, they're building Subra and creating a Subraminion community.

Dhruv grew up having filtered coffee. He enjoyed the smooth texture and vibrant flavor. But as he moved back to the states, he soon realized that the only time he could actually enjoy South Indian Filter coffee was when he visited family, visited an Indian grocery store to purchase, or visited India. Why wasn’t it easy to find filter coffee at local coffee shops?

He and Melissa teamed up to change how people in the U.S. think about coffee. Our goal is to build awareness around the beautiful culture of South Indian coffee to all coffee lovers that have yet to try a new profile. We have a lot of exciting ideas and items in store for Subra. We hope you try our specially curated coffee & join us as we build a Subraminion community of filter coffee enthusiasts!

As we continue working on slowly rolling out our specialty coffee, sign up to join our waitlist so you can be one of the first to know when our product is available for purchase. Check out our calendar of events where we will be hosting tastings & creating events in partnership with local up-and-coming brands that sell products we love, too!
